Allergen Training Course
This Online Allergen Training Course will teach you the necessary food safety skills that are required in Ireland to reach a competent level of understanding of the risks & required controls associated with managing allergens in the food business, in line with the FSAI Requirements.
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for all employees working in a food preparation role. This includes anyone working with food prior to commencing employment, regardless of their role.
This includes all employees working in:
- Food Retail Shops
- Deli or similar Grab & Go Food Outlet
- Cafes, Bars & Restaurants
- Hotels & Bed & Breakfast
- Food Stalls, Markets
- Home Baking, Cake sales or similar trade
What does the course cover?
The course includes all required knowledge set out in the FSAI requirements.
- Introduction to Allergen Legislation in Ireland
- Allergenic Hazards
- Controlling Allergens
- Food Intolerance
Upon completing the course, you will be required to fill out a course assessment, to demonstrate your understanding of the subjects.
Once you achieve a pass rate of 80% or higher, a certificate will be issued.
You will continue to receive access to our online version of the course, where you can re-take the course in your own time, playback for reference & use it as an interim refresher.
You will also have access to support material in our Share Hub, a dedicated area of our website for members, so they can learn additional information & gain extra knowledge & support.
